Intro to Baja Adventure Ride
December 6th to 11th
This tour is carefully crafted to provide an exceptional experience for owners of large adventure bikes, offering a balanced 50/50 mix of terrain. Recognizing the rugged nature of many Baja routes, I have curated a more manageable 700-mile journey, with 350 miles of thrilling dirt roads. Ideal for intermediate adventure riders and dual sport enthusiasts seeking a relaxed Baja exploration, this ride promises to test, enhance, and acquire new riding skills. Our adventure kicks off in Tecate on a Saturday, inclusive of hotel accommodation, followed by seven days of exhilarating riding before concluding at Tecate Ca the following Saturday.
Priced at $2250, the package encompasses shared lodging, breakfast and dinner, fuel, liability coverage insurance, and the expertise of a guide.
Private dates are also available for groups of at least 5 riders. Contact for details
Day 1
Today, we rise early and set off towards Laguna Hanson, our first section of dirt riding. A stretch of two-lane highway leads us to the start of our dirt route. Our journey takes us along the park road south to Laguna Hanson, where the terrain mirrors the exhilarating high sierras of Colorado. The trail offers a mix of solid and soft sand, well-maintained from frequent use. We conclude the day with an exhilarating pavement ride to our hotel; Horsepower Ranch just outside Ensenada.

day 2
After a fantastic first day in Baja, and a restful night's sleep, we embark on our journey back south towards Valle de Trinidad, where our exhilarating dirt adventure commences! Known as La Calentura, this section earns its name from the scorching heat generated by the rocky terrain and soil composition, making it an ideal region for flourishing vineyards. As the path transitions from lofty sierra to compact gravel and abundant rocks, the thrill of navigating this landscape on a robust GS-style bike is unbeatable. We will then cross highway 1 and head towards the coast were more rugged and challenging terrain will keep us on our toes. Our nights destination will be a nice hotel overlooking the green fields of Colonet and the beautiful sunset over the coast.

day 3
After two exhilarating days exploring rugged terrain, we'll savor a leisurely day filled with coastal riding, providing the perfect opportunity to capture stunning drone shots of riders in action. Our route will include stretches of the iconic Baja 1000 course, offering a taste of its legendary challenges. With ample time to soak in the breathtaking scenery, we'll relish the camaraderie of our fellow riders. As the day draws to a close, we'll top it off with a delightful ride along the beach, capping off an unforgettable day of adventure.
Miles; 90 -Dirt 40
day 4
It’s an exciting time to begin our journey back north, eagerly anticipating the thrill of conquering more exhilarating dirt sections. Our route today takes us back to La Calentura. Before reaching the renowned Mike’s Sky Rancho, we will make a delightful pit stop in Valle de Trinidad to indulge in some delectable ice cream. Opting for the lengthier yet smoother west road to Mikes, we'll encounter a flat and speedy terrain initially, gradually transitioning into intermittently sandy stretches, finally culminating in a few manageable, rutted hills leading into Mikes. Additionally, I am eager to arrange for a brief slowdown to capture stunning drone shots of our riders against the striking backdrop. Anticipate an exceptional and memorable day filled with remarkable experiences.
Miles; 140 -Dirt 90
day 5
Time to head to the border! But before we get there, we will have the incredible opportunity to conquer one of the most thrilling sections of dirt road in northern Baja—the renowned El Compadre Trail. This exhilarating stretch of terrain is personally my favorite short section, boasting everything from slow, tight turns to fast, sweeping sections, and even some cattle guards that add an extra element of excitement. Once we cross over highway 2, we then take the final 20 miles to Tecate and cross back to the states. You have the option of starting your trek home, or grab a room back at the same hotel and relax for the night. Just let me know!
